Target Discovery
RNAi-based therapeutics may significantly expand the scope of “druggable” disease targets by addressing those targets that are previously thought to be “undruggable.” This is due to the fact that:
- These targets are not “available” to more conventional drugs, or
- Drug activity can not specifically be targeted to diseased cells, or
- Levels of inhibition achieved with conventional approaches are not consistent with the therapeutic window of the target.
Intradigm’s ability to test RNAi-based therapeutics in vivo using our proprietary RNAi Nanoplex (NPX) delivery technology positions the company as a partner-of-choice for the development of novel siRNA therapeutics.
To date, Intradigm has identified several oncology targets, and the company is actively working to establish collaborative relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies through which the RNAi NPX delivery technology may be applied to a broad range of therapeutic opportunities.
